Hello. This is Chuck from Advanced Waterfall Systems. Today is gonna be a training video on how to install one of our dot our AWS dive platforms. This particular dive platform is kind of a lightweight. You can see we fabricated the four sides.

It has a hollow center. The idea behind this dive platform is that it can be installed with a mini skid steer or a dingo in our case. Okay? The units don't weigh much more than a thousand pounds, so you these are great for renovations or for projects where the yard is established and you can put boards down and drive a small machine into the yard and install it. So stay tuned.

We're gonna run through the installation process, the lifting, the rigging, and how you can install this with two guys in probably a couple hours. So this is the base for this dive platform. Okay. You can see we fabricated four stones together. Right?

So this entire center is open, and it's hollow. Right, which makes this this kind of platform kinda light. Right? This whole thing right here weighs a 36 pounds. Right?

So this dingo can lift it. No problem. You can go into a backyard that's tight without doing any damage. Alright. So these are all fabricated.

This is the front. You could see right here is notched right here. So you're gonna see the sheer descent fits right into here, and then we've got these three lifting points that we're using our our lifting rigging kit here to lift it up. It's got three lifting points. You're gonna see the guys are gonna pick it up.

So this is on our testing pool, but if you're doing this on a job, you have to put it on top of a deck or you would have to put it on top of a concrete footing. Okay? Because you're gonna have the weight of this plus the weight of the top. So it's probably gonna be 1,500 pounds or so. So you're gonna put it on a deck, make sure it can handle the weight.

If not, put it on a footing and reinforce it. Okay. So the idea is that this will mean this will remain hollow. You're gonna pick this up. You would put some cement down, put it down and level it, and then you would put the top on and the sidebar.

So stay tuned. We'll show you how that's done. Alright. So we're gonna show you guys how to install this dive platform. It is one, two, three.

This particular one is four pieces. You got the base piece, two side rocks, and a top. Alright? So we showed you guys the rigging. K.

You need the proper rigging equipment to lift it. So that t s that t 1,000 dingo can lift it. No problem. And if you were doing a renovation, you could put it on you could put mats down, drive over a yard. It won't be a problem.

Alright. So you're gonna see the guys. You're gonna set. Now we're gonna dry fit all this. Right?

But in real life, if you were doing it, you would be mortaring it all in. Right? So there'd be cement to put down, then you would put the you would set the unit level and then work your way through. Now this has a waterfall, a sheer descent waterfall built in. You're gonna see the front of that base piece is notched, and we're gonna connect the plumbing.

Okay? So you could this could be done with the waterfall or it could be done without a waterfall if you just wanna have, like, a, like, a diving platform. I call it a diving platform. We'd have to follow all the codes of a diving board for it to be considered a diving or jumping platform. Otherwise, you cannot use this on a pool that is not approved for diving or jumping.

Okay. It is 04:16PM, and we're starting. Okay. Let's rock and roll. So like I was starting to say, you need a concrete footing to accommodate the weight for this.

So you could see this right here is notched right here for the sheer descent to fit inside there. Like we say, you set this right on the, on the edge of the pole. The next step is the sheer descent waterfall is gonna go in. Right? And as you can see, we notched this out, and we painted it so it kinda blends.

So you get that fits perfect, and then we're gonna put tie in the plumbing line right to the back. Now we're not gonna glue this in. Okay? This kit will come with with a with a with an adhesive that you would seal and glue this in the bottom here. Okay?

We're not gonna do that because it's a kind of a testing thing, but in real life, you would glue this all in all the way around. We are gonna glue this onto the back because we wanna turn it on and run it. Okay? Next step is we're gonna pick up the top, which has straps holding it, and that's gonna be the top of the platform that'll sit right on there. Yeah.

So as you can see, pretty simple. Glue it into the back, one connection, run the plumbing, and, you know, you can see right here, you wanna make sure you accommodate for your footing. If you have a footing here, you wanna make sure you can get the pipe underneath. The whole thing's exposed. Right?

So you don't wanna try not to drill through the rock if you don't need to. Try to have it go underneath like that. You had a footing, can maybe leave a notch in the footing so you can get the pipe out from underneath it. Just so you guys know, right, these four panels, not only are they epoxy, but a heavy duty epoxy, they're also pinned. There's pins holding all four of these together.

So they're pretty well secured all the way around, you know, in four spots. Alright. So you can see what we did. The guys used these will come with straps preinstalled on them on the ends. Okay.

He's gotta pick it up, set it in place, put cement down. Okay. If you're doing it on a full install, you wanna put the cement down, set it in place, and then do all your pointing. Right? And then level One thing we didn't do is we didn't put a level on it, but if you're using cement, you wanna hit it with a mallet and level it all out on both.

And then, when you get done and you start doing all your pointing, you're gonna end up pointing all the joints all the way around, so everything's finished in cement all at the same time. And the next are the two side rocks. Okay? They're more for aesthetic to make it look better. We got a boulder here and a boulder there.

Some jobs might not have the side rocks, but this particular one, we're gonna do it. And these rocks are our EZ Lift boulders that are drilled, they're very easy to pick up and install. This guy this is numbered. Right? And like you say, you keep the numbers three and three, pretty straightforward.

The other one's got numbers, so you know where it goes. Right? The idea behind these side rocks was just to kinda give it some balance to flank the sides. With part of an installation, you might have some plants around it to make it look nice. Right?

But on a full installation, you would put cement down. You'd have your cement mixed up. You put the cement down. You would sit this on it, and then you would do all your pointing. Once it's done, you would do all your pointing all the way around, all around the sides and the back so everything looks nice and clean.

Right? Alright. Pretty straightforward. Like you say, the last one's in. Like I say, if this was a full install, you'd be putting the cement down on the bottom, and you'd set the rock, and then you'd bring your cement in and point all around the whole thing and finish it off.

And, the last step is we're gonna turn the waterfall on just to show you what the finished product looks like. You if you're doing this in real life, you'd probably wanna wait for the cement to dry to turn it on, so it doesn't wash out any cement in the front. And there you have it, a dive platform with a waterfall, and it is 04:30. Fifteen minutes. Another hour to point, under two hours.
